Who they were
At Clermont-Ferrand in Aquitaine, now in France, Saint Abraham, monk, who, born on the bank of the Euphrates, went to Egypt to visit the hermits but, arrested by pagans, was kept in chains for five years; then, having come to France in the region of Auvergne, he withdrew to the monastery of Saint Cyricus, where he died full of days.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 15 June as a monk born by the Euphrates who died at the monastery of Saint Cyricus in Auvergne.
