In the monastery of Luxeuil in Burgundy, now in France, the death of Saint Adelphe, abbot of the monastery of Remiremont, who long washed away in tears the discord of a brief moment.

There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.

Why that counted as sanctity

The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 11 September as an abbot of Remiremont who long wept over a brief moment of discord.
