Adolf Kajpr was a Jesuit priest and editor of Catholic periodicals who was imprisoned by both the Nazi and the communist regimes and died in Leopoldov prison in 1959.

The diocesan phase of the inquiry into his life and reputation for martyrdom opened at the church of St Ignatius in Prague on 22 September 2019 and closed on 4 January 2021; on 10 November 2021 the Congregation for the Causes of Saints decreed the diocesan inquiry valid and the cause passed to its Roman phase. The Hagiography Circle dates the close of the diocesan inquiry 4 January 2021, which the archdiocese confirms.
