Who they were
Agapito Gorgues Manresa was a diocesan priest of the archdiocese of Tarragona. He was killed at Cerviá, near Lleida on 23 September 1936 in the persecution in Spain. Pope Francis beatified him on 13 October 2013, among the martyrs of Manuel Borràs Ferré, auxiliary bishop of Tarragona, Agapito Modesto and 145 companions.
