Who they were
At Pergamum in Asia, in present-day Turkey, the holy martyrs Carpus, bishop of Thyatira, Papylus, deacon, Agathonica, sister of Papylus, and many others, who for their blessed profession of faith received the crown of martyrdom.

There was never a formal cause: she has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers her on 13 April as the sister of the deacon Papylus, martyred with him at Pergamum for professing the faith.
