Who they were
On the island of Lérins in Provence in France, Saint Aigulphe, abbot, and companion monks, who are held to have suffered martyrdom during a raid by the Saracens.

There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.

The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 3 September as an abbot of Lérins held to have been martyred with his monks in a Saracen raid.
