Alberto Capellán Zuazo was a married layman of Santo Domingo de la Calzada active in Spanish Nocturnal Adoration, which petitioned for his cause. It was opened in the diocese of Calahorra y La Calzada-Logroño after the nihil obstat of 13 January 1983; the cognitional process ran from 1983 to 1986 and Pope John Paul II declared him Venerable on 6 April 1998.
