Who they were
Albert was born at Sarteano in Tuscany in 1385 and entered the Conventual Franciscans in 1405; drawn by St Bernardine of Siena, he passed to the Friars Minor of the Observance and became his faithful companion.
Under Bernardine's guidance he became so famous a preacher that he was called 'the King of Preachers'. He died at Milan on 15 August 1450.
The miracles
He is honoured as Blessed by long-standing veneration confirmed by the Church; the Catholic Encyclopedia does not describe a formal cause.
