Who they were
At Nagasaki in Japan, Blesseds Sebastian Kimura, of the Society of Jesus, Francis Morales, of the Order of Preachers, priests, and fifty companions, martyrs, who, priests, religious, married couples, young people, catechists, widows and children, died for Christ on a hill before a great crowd amid cruel tortures. Among those named is Blessed Alfons de Mena, priest of the Order of Preachers.

The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 10 September among the martyrs of Nagasaki, as a Dominican priest.
