Why that counted as sanctity
An Oblate of Mary Immaculate still in formation, arrested by the Germans and killed at Gusen in January 1941 at twenty-three; his is a cause of martyrdom. The Oblate provincial decided to begin the process in 2019, the bishop of Linz agreed in January 2020 to transfer it to Poland, and the inquiry opened in the archdiocese of Poznań, with the nihil obstat of 29 July 2021.
