Who they were
Alfonso Navarrete Crespo was a priest, born at Villanueva del Arzobispo and ordained in March 1901, who was parish priest of Albanchez de Úbeda and was killed there on 11 September 1936. He was beatified on 13 December 2025 by Pope Leo XIV among the 124 martyrs of Jaén.
