Alfredo Almunia López-Teruel was born on 21 May 1859 at Mojácar, in the province and diocese of Almería, and was ordained priest in 1884.
He was killed on 18 October 1936 at La Ballabona near Lubrín, in the province of Almería, and Pope Francis beatified him on 25 March 2017 among José Álvarez-Benavides de la Torre and 114 companions, diocesan priests and lay faithful killed between 1936 and 1938.
