Who they were
At Santander in Cantabria on the coast of Spain, Blessed Alfredo Parte Saiz, priest of the Order of Clerics Regular of the Pious Schools and martyr, who, during the persecution, was led as a priest to a glorious martyrdom.

As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 27 December as a Piarist priest martyred at Santander during the persecution.
