Who they were
Amadeus, born in 1420, spent about ten years as a Hieronymite at Guadalupe in Spain, then went to Italy and was received into the Franciscans, attracting notice by his virtue and miracles.
Under the protection of the Archbishop of Milan he founded in 1469 the friary of Our Lady of Peace, centre of a Franciscan reform, protected by the future Sixtus IV. He died at Milan in 1482; the Bollandists attest his title of Blessed.
The miracles
He is honoured as Blessed by long-standing veneration; the Catholic Encyclopedia does not describe a formal cause.
