Amalia Abad Casasempere was a laywoman of the archdiocese of Valencia, a widowed mother of a family. She was killed on 28 September 1936, aged 38.
She is one of 74 martyrs of Valencia, priests and lay men and women, whom Pope John Paul II beatified in Rome on 11 March 2001 among José Aparicio Sanz and 232 companions.
