Her family moved to the Agua de Dios leper colony after her father contracted leprosy, and she joined the congregation Luigi Variara was founding there, the Daughters of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary. Santi e Beati gives her birth as 24 September 1883, where the Hagiography Circle has 22 June 1910.
