Who they were
Ángel López Martínez was born on 2 October 1912 at Mundilla de Valdelucio, in the province of Burgos, and made his first religious profession as a Claretian on 15 August 1929. The decree names him among the companions of José María Ruiz Cano of the Congregation of Missionary Sons of the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary put to death in 1936, and he was beatified on 13 October 2013 by Pope Francis.
