Who they were
Near Kraków in Poland, in the Auschwitz extermination camp, Blesseds Anicet Kopliński, of the Order of Friars Minor Capuchin, and Józef Jankowski, of the Society of the Catholic Apostolate, priests and martyrs, who, during the military occupation of their homeland by followers of an impious doctrine hostile to humanity and to the faith, bore witness to faith in Christ until death, the one killed in a gas chamber, the other by the camp guards.

The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 16 October as a Capuchin priest and martyr killed at Auschwitz.
