Who they were
Aniceto Lizasoain Lizaso was born in the Navarrese village of Irañeta on 17 April 1877 and was a professed Redemptorist from 1896. He lived in many communities, taking on domestic work and the offices of sacristan, porter and bursar; after being denounced he was seized and killed on 18 August 1936, and Pope Francis beatified him on 22 October 2022.
