Who they were
At Rome, Blessed Anna Rosa Gattorno, religious, who, a mother of a family, left a widow, consecrated herself entirely to the Lord and to her neighbour and founded the Daughters of Saint Anne, Mother of Mary Immaculate, working in every way for the sick, the infirm and abandoned children, in whose faces she contemplated the poor Christ.

Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers her on 6 May as a widowed mother who founded the Daughters of Saint Anne to serve the sick and abandoned children.
