Who they were
At Hautmont on the Sambre in Hainaut, in the territory of present-day France, the death of Saint Ansbert, who was abbot of Fontenelle and then bishop of Rouen, banished into exile by King Pepin.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 9 February as abbot of Fontenelle and bishop of Rouen who died in exile at Hautmont.
