Who they were
At Pergamum in Asia, in present-day Turkey, commemoration of Saint Antipas, who, a faithful witness, as Saint John says in the Apocalypse, suffered martyrdom in the name of Jesus.

There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
