Who they were

A bricklayer of Modica in Sicily left completely paralysed by a fall from scaffolding in 1968, he later made vows as a Volunteer with Don Bosco and died in 2007.

The miracles

No miracle has been approved. The cause is at its first stage.

Why that counted as sanctity

The nihil obstat was given on 31 January 2013, the diocesan inquiry ran from 2 March 2014 to 5 May 2024, and its validity was decreed on 8 January 2025.

The cause

Antonino (Nino) Baglieri is named a Servant of God; the cause continues. Favours received, and offers of help, go to the postulation, the office that carries the cause forward: The cause of Antonino (Nino) Baglieri.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. Reporting one begins with the postulation.
