Who they were
Antonio Caba Pozo was born at Lanjarón on 1 December 1914 and entered the seminary as a boy; imprisoned, threatened and mocked, he was shot on 21 July 1936 while praying the rosary, saying 'I die for Christ', and received the sacraments before he died. He was beatified on 26 February 2022 by Pope Francis among Cayetano Giménez Martín and fifteen companions.
