Who they were
Antonio Martínez López was a diocesan priest, born at Begíjar on 21 November 1893 and assistant parish priest of La Carolina, who was killed in August 1936 at the age of 43, on a day that is not known. He was beatified on 13 December 2025 by Pope Leo XIV among the 124 martyrs of Jaén.
