Antonio Martínez López was born on 8 April 1891 at Almería, and was ordained priest in 1914.
He was killed on 29 September 1936 at the place called Polvorín, in the municipal district of Serón, in the province of Almería, and Pope Francis beatified him on 25 March 2017 among José Álvarez-Benavides de la Torre and 114 companions, diocesan priests and lay faithful killed between 1936 and 1938.
