Antonio Pennacchi
Priest of Assisi, teacher of the young and friend of the poor
Who they were
Ordained in 1806, he taught grammar in Assisi, formed the young and shared his salary with the poor and sick; he is buried in the abbey of San Pietro, Assisi.

No miracle has been approved. The cause is at its first stage.
Why that counted as sanctity
His cause was first introduced in 1905 and was restarted in June 2016 by a decree of Bishop Domenico Sorrentino of Assisi-Nocera Umbra-Gualdo Tadino, with Mgr Orlando Gori as postulator; the diocese calls him 'venerabile' in the older sense, and the postulation is still compiling the Positio on his heroic virtues, so no decree on heroic virtues has yet been promulgated.
