Antonio Sierra Leyva was born on 22 November 1876 at Churriana de la Vega, in the province and archdiocese of Granada, and was ordained priest in 1901.
He was killed on 19 September 1936 at Alhama de Almería, in the province of Almería, and Pope Francis beatified him on 25 March 2017 among José Álvarez-Benavides de la Torre and 114 companions, diocesan priests and lay faithful killed between 1936 and 1938.
