Arcangelo Tadini
Italian saint (1846-1912)

Who they were
Arcangelo Tadini was born at Verolanuova near Brescia on 12 October 1846, entered the Brescia seminary in 1864 and was ordained in 1870. After a curacy in the mountain village of Lodrino and a chaplaincy, he became a parish priest and stayed until his death in 1912.
He founded the Worker Sisters of the Holy House of Nazareth and worked for the rights and dignity of workers, pointing to Jesus, who for thirty years at Nazareth was not ashamed of calloused hands and a brow wet with sweat.
