Who they were
At Ayas in Cilicia, in the territory of present-day Turkey, the holy brothers and martyrs Claudius, Asterius and Neon, who, accused by their stepmother on account of their Christian faith, are said to have been beheaded under the emperor Diocletian and the governor Lysias.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 23 August as one of three brothers accused by their stepmother and beheaded at Ayas in Cilicia under Diocletian.
