Who they were
At Nakiwubo in Uganda, Saint Athanasius Bazzekuketta, martyr, who, a young man of the royal household and lately baptised, while he was being led with the others to the place of execution for having received the faith of Christ, begged the executioners to kill him at once and, beaten with clubs, completed his martyrdom.
The miracles
As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 27 May as a newly baptised young man of the royal household at Nakiwubo who asked his executioners to kill him at once and was beaten to death.
