Why that counted as sanctity

Douglas Deshotel opened the cause of beatification of Auguste "Nonco" Pelafigue in the Diocese of Lafayette on 11 January 2020, declaring him a Servant of God.

The cause

Auguste Robert "Nonco" Pelafigue is named a Servant of God; the cause continues. Favours received, and offers of help, go to the postulation, the office that carries the cause forward: The cause of Auguste Robert "Nonco" Pelafigue.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. Reporting one begins with the postulation.
