Who they were
Aurelio Leyva Garzón was born on 24 November 1877 in the city of Guadix, in the province of Granada and the diocese of Guadix, and was ordained priest in 1901.
He was killed at Barranco del Chisme on 30 August 1936, and was beatified on 25 March 2017 by Pope Francis, among the companions of José Álvarez-Benavides de la Torre.
