Who they were
At Rieti, Saint Baldwin, abbot, who was a disciple of Saint Bernard in the monastery of Clairvaux and was sent by him to this city to found and govern the monastery of San Matteo di Montecchio.

There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.

The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 24 July as a disciple of Saint Bernard sent from Clairvaux to found and govern a monastery at Rieti.
