Barbara Jeong Sun-mae

Who they were

Barbara Jeong Sun-mae was one of the martyrs of Korea. The list of the Korean martyrs published by the Dicastery for the Causes of Saints records that she was killed at Yeoju on 3 July 1801, at the age of 24; she was beatified on 16 August 2014 by Pope Francis.

As a martyr she was raised to the altars without a miracle.
