Who they were
At Edessa in Osroene, now in Turkey, the holy martyrs Charbel, priest, and Bebaia, his sister, who tradition says were led to baptism by the bishop Saint Barsimaeus and suffered martyrdom for Christ.

There was never a formal cause: she has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.

The Roman Martyrology remembers her on 29 January as the sister of the priest Charbel, martyred with him at Edessa.
