The decree on martyrdom describes her as a professed religious of the Handmaids of the Blessed Sacrament and of Charity, born on 26 September 1899 at Villarejo de Orbigo in the diocese of Astorga, who made temporary vows on 13 June 1926 and perpetual vows on 11 August 1929; in the world she was Bellarmina Pérez Martínez. She was beatified on 28 October 2007 by Pope Benedict XVI.
