Near Kazimierz on the river Warta in Poland, Saints Benedict, John, Matthew and Isaac, martyrs, who, sent to proclaim the Christian faith in Poland, had their throats cut by night by some brigands. Together with them is also commemorated Christian, their servant, hanged within the church enclosure.

There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.

The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 12 November as one of the martyrs sent to proclaim the Christian faith in Poland who had their throats cut by night by brigands near Kazimierz on the river Warta.
