Benvenutus Maria de Miguel Arahal was a priest of the Third Order Capuchin of the Sorrowful Virgin, born in the town of Dos Hermanas in the province of Seville in 1887, and superior general of his congregation; the decree calls him upright and strong in spirit, a religious of deep spiritual life and great gifts of government, and he was martyred on 1 August 1936.
He was beatified on 11 March 2001 by John Paul II, among Vicente Cabanes Badenas and his eighteen companions of the Third Order Capuchin of the Sorrowful Virgin and the laywoman María del Carmen García Moyon.
