Jesuit priest, founder of the Royal Brotherhood of the Refuge in Madrid
Who they were
Born in Alcala de Henares in 1572, he founded in 1615 the Holy, Pontifical and Royal Brotherhood of the Refuge and Piety of Madrid to feed and care for the destitute, and died as rector of the Jesuit college of Talavera de la Reina in 1634.

The Archdiocese of Toledo opened his diocesan cause in December 2017, when he was declared a Servant of God; the diocesan phase closed in 2019 and the acts went to Rome.
