In the town of Paterna in the territory of Valencia in Spain, Blessed Bertrando Lahoz Moliner, in the world Francisco, religious of the Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools and martyr, took Christ as his model and so earned the eternal reward promised to those who persevere in the faith during the religious persecution.
The Acta Apostolicae Sedis record that he was born in 1912, belonged to the community of Cambrils near Barcelona, and was killed at Paterna on 22 November together with a fellow Brother.
