Blessed Beatrice d'Este
daughter of Azzo VI of the Este family by his second wife, Sophia Eleanor

Who they were
Beatrice d'Este was born in the castle of Este and became a nun at the convent of Santa Margherita at Solarolo. Not finding it secluded enough from the world, she founded another religious house in a deserted monastery at Gemmola.
She died in 1226, or perhaps 1246, and her body was moved to the church of Santa Sofia at Padua. She is the aunt of the younger Beatrice d'Este.
The miracles
She is honoured as Blessed by long-standing veneration; the Catholic Encyclopedia does not describe a formal cause.
Why that counted as sanctity
A noblewoman who sought God in solitude.
