Who they were
In the prison camp of Dachau near Munich in Bavaria in Germany, Blessed Boniface Zukowski, priest of the Order of Friars Minor Conventual and martyr, who, during the war, worn down by the tortures he suffered for his faith and confined in prison, brought his martyrdom to completion.

As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 10 April as a Conventual Franciscan priest and martyr who died in wartime imprisonment after torture for his faith.
