Who they were
Camille Millet was a layman born at Vertus on 20 February 1922 and baptised there on 18 April; through the Eucharistic Crusade he found the Young Christian Workers, joined them early in 1938 and became president of the Ivry-Centre section. Sent by the compulsory labour service to Erfurt on 21 December 1942, where he went on with his lay apostolate, he was arrested by the Gestapo on 19 April 1944 and died at Flossenbürg on 15 April 1945, aged 23. He was beatified on 13 December 2025 by Pope Leo XIV.
