Who they were
In the city of Hirado in Japan, Blessed Camillus Costanzo, priest of the Society of Jesus and martyr, who, condemned by the supreme commander Hidetada to be burned alive, never ceased preaching Christ even at the stake.

As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.

The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 15 September as a Jesuit priest burned alive at Hirado who preached Christ even at the stake.
