Who they were
Carl Lampert was born at Göfis in Vorarlberg, Austria, on 9 January 1894 and ordained at Brixen in May 1918. He became pro-vicar of the Apostolic Administration of Innsbruck-Feldkirch.
An opponent of the Nazi regime, he was arrested, tried on a charge of espionage and sentenced to be beheaded with two other priests. He was executed in 1944.
