The bishops of southern Spain approved her cause in October 2016, the diocesan tribunal began work on 31 May 2017 and Bishop Santiago Gómez Sierra closed the diocesan phase on 4 March 2024 in the parish of San Juan Bautista; the acts were sent to the Dicastery for the Causes of Saints.
