She founded the Germanes Josefines de la Caritat (Josephite Sisters of Charity) at Vic in Catalonia in 1877, and the congregation now works in Catalonia, Peru, Colombia and Rwanda.

Why that counted as sanctity
The diocese of Vic opened her cause in 1985 after the nihil obstat of July 1985, and a decree on her heroic virtues followed on 28 April 2006; the Catalan Catholic weekly Catalunya Cristiana calls her Venerable and gives her birthplace as Sant Nazari in the Lluçanès.
