Cecilia Eusepi

Who they were
Cecilia Eusepi was born at Monte Romano near Viterbo on 17 February 1910; her father died 45 days later. From 1915 she went to school with the Cistercian nuns of Nepi.
A tertiary of the Servants of Mary, struck young by a fatal illness, she lived the Apostle's words, finding that 'loving Jesus, suffering becomes lovable to us'. She died at eighteen.
The miracles
A healing judged scientifically inexplicable by the medical board on 1 October 2009 and attributed to her by the theologians on 12 December 2009; the decree was promulgated on 1 July 2010.
Why that counted as sanctity
A girl who, dying young, found in love of Jesus the strength to love her suffering.
