Who they were
At Thessalonica in Macedonia, now in Greece, Saints Agape and Chionia, virgins and martyrs, who during the persecution of the emperor Diocletian, having refused to eat the meat of animals sacrificed to idols, were handed over to the governor Dulcitius and condemned to the stake.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: she has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers her on 1 April as a virgin martyred at Thessalonica with Saint Agape, burned at the stake under Diocletian for refusing meat sacrificed to idols.
